47 years

It's our wedding anniversary today. 47 years! It doesnt seem that long. It must be true what they say that time flies when you're  having fun.  

In previous years we'd have been away on holiday or at least gone out for a meal. But once it seemed possible that restrictions would be lifted and I tried to book somewhere,  every was booked up. 
A meal at our favourite place would have been nice but they are fully booked for at least the next 6 weeks with weddings every day!

As it is we had a lovely day. The sun was shining and we had a good walk along Channelside where there was a nice breeze coming off the water.  
I nipped into Tesco for wine, (£1 off  and then a further 25% off as I bought 6 ... a nice saving!) 

Our friends who we've known for 48 years came round. Tony was our best man .
 Normally we'd sit in the courtyard but the sun was too hot. So we put the conservatory chairs out onto the lawn under the shade of the trees and spent a very pleasant afternoon sat chatting and catching up on our news. 

Not a  bad way to spend our anniversary!
