Birthday Boy

This is Darrin and Becky's nephew, who is two years old today.  Here he is with one of his gifts, a "lawn mower" that blows bubbles.  He looks scruffy because his Uncle Darrin poured water on his head because it was so hot.  My car thermometer said 100 degrees when we were on our way to the party.  We were outside in the shade but frequently had to go into their air conditioned house to cool off.  

Speaking of ridiculously hot weather, we have a connection to get a good deal on central air conditioning.  We have always done okay with window units and strategically placed fans but it's been getting hotter every year and I just can't deal with it anymore.  I'm hoping to get an estimate this week. :-)

I am grateful that all our family and Darrin's family are fully vaccinated so we can feel comfortable gathering together again!
