Blessed By Baptisms, Music And Brother Tracy

Some of the fruit of this past week's Vacation Bible School were the children who invited Jesus into their hearts and wanted to follow His example of being baptized to help them share that decision with the church body and the rest of the world. So, after Deani shared her marvelous talent on the piano in the prelude, Daniel and Brother David baptized eight children.  We had more children who made decisions and wanted to be baptized today, but due to illness and going out of town could not make it today.  That just means that we will celebrate their decisions through baptism on another Sunday in the future.  After all the baptisms were finished we were blessed by our Southern Gospel men's group, Aire To The Throne, as they sang three songs that had us clapping along with them and enjoying their wonderful harmonies.  But the blessings didn't end there. We had a special speaker, Brother Tracy, who spoke to us about the importance of relationships, starting with our first  relationship, our relationship to God and how the fruit of that relationship filters out and extends to all those around us as we show love, joy, peace,patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self control to all those around us every day.  He will be speaking to us over the next two Sundays and I can hardly wait to hear what else he has to share with us!
