Postcard from Jersey

Second time I've blipped this in the last few days but I love the postcard quality of this snapshot.

Perhaps it's quite an apt image as it's been one whole year (and a day) since J and I came to the island, post-lockdown, thinking we would stay for a couple of months. Such a lot has happened since.

It's been quite a journey and I am one very weary traveller, looking back at 'life as we knew it' pre-pandemic, as if through some frosted window.   

But here we (all) are, and maybe sooner or later, I'll get to grips with the reality of it. If all goes well, in a month or so we will have a new home in the area pictured in my 'postcard'.
