Red Deer in the Margunet Area ...

.... silhouetted on the skyline, these animals that we don’t see in our home mountains. We also had distant sightings of marmots, bouquetin, chamois and even a bearded vulture, probably a descendant of some of the the 26 which were released in the area between 1991 and 2006.

Rain arrived as we arrived on the roadside to catch a bus to Mustair to see the convent/monastery of St. John which has been lived in for 1,200 years (extra).

Now back at the hotel where the WiFi is playing up so I am hoping that I don’t lose this again!
