Equinox

Officially the spring equinox is 20th March but today is the first day with over 12 hours between sunrise and sunset so I feel it should be the equinox.

This egg is called Equinox and shows spring on one side with autumn on the other side. It is part of the Lindt Big Egg Hunt organized to raise money for Action for Children with 101 giant two feet tall decorated fibreglass eggs hidden around. The eggsibition has been in Covent Garden, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and is now in Glasgow before returning to London and last year over £1million was raised in the first egg hunt. I would have liked to have found the other eggs but the forecast was for heavy snow at home and fortunately I managed to get back before it got too deep. The spring scene on the egg seems far removed from the snowy scene outside.
