Homegrown Strawberries!

There's nothing quite like homegrown strawberries, or anything homegrown for that matter!

Last year's strawberry cuttings are doing so well and making delicious, tender and sweet fruit to add to desserts!

The shop-bought strawberries this year are so disappointing - under-ripe, acid and hard. Is it the lack of sunshine or just picking them too soon?

Having a gorgeous lazy Sunday. The terrible heat has disappeared and been replaced with rather lovely changeable weather with sunshine and clouds and lovely breezes. 

Reading on the balcony, I noticed how well my strawberries were doing! I also did some dead-heading on several plants. The lavender is full of buds for a second flowering!
