Reflective mood

Today promised sun and warmth, or rather the weather forecasters did.

Most of the morning was overcast and cold (I'm told)
Most of the morning I was asleep.
The afternoon started out cold and grey (13 degrees)
so we dressed for the cold and went out.
It warmed up within an hour to almost 25.

Still, we had a great afternoon avoiding the sun in the orangery of the big house down the road -
and then had a cream tea.

So I don't care that the washing machine has broken - I've got plenty of socks anyway.
