Changes

SWMBO and I were out for breakfast at Bag's house.
Originally it was going to be at a posh place at South Queensferry, but the guests of honour had to change their plans and John wasn't able to make it.
When I parked the car I thought somebody had forgotten their roses, but it turns out they are actually growing there.

Lisa is the girl we took in when her lunatic mother kicked her out at 16.
She had no idea about 'normal' family life or loving relationships and was terrified of commitment.
She stayed with us until she went to university and then went on to work in the Middle East as a specialist nurse and worked her way up to senior management in a large hospital down London way.
Happily married and with young Ben it would appear that she is now about to change her career direction slightly.
Her life could have gone completely down the tubes but she has grown into a wonderful, caring woman.

Back to South Queensferry this evening, but again plans had to change.
The pedestrian walkway on the west side of the Forth Road Bridge is closed off while they continue trying to repair the roadway, so I had to use the one on the east - which gives a good view of the Forth Rail Bridge, but not a clear one of the the Queensferry Crossing -- which was the one I wanted.
I went to the point before the towers and cables totally ruined everything and stood and waited for the sun to sink into the haar behind the cables.
The haar didn't arrive and the clouds were just not quite able to show the sun as anything other than a harsh white blub.
So I took abstract pictures of wires and clouds and waited for the fire in the sky to colour up the cloud edges.
It didn't.
So I walked off the bridge and thought .... "Well - that is it then".
