40 days

In Greek culture, new parents, or those bereaved, are given a 40-day literal quarantine to acclimatise to their new circumstances before being encouraged to re-join society as a whole. Today marked my 40th day and I stepped out of my personal wilderness to see this. 
What an utter joy!
