Woodland walk
We came back home last night. We’d had a good 6 days at caravan, far too hot at times but still a nice break away.
Last night we left the caravan quite, but instead of coming straight home Darren decided we’d have a last trip to the race course. I thought it was so I could have a quick runabout and chase the ball for a bit, but no it was because Darren wanted to see a bit of Rick Astley who was playing a gig at the race course and from previous experience he knows you can enjoy the music even when you’ve not paid to get in. Lots of other people thought the same and there was quite a crowd outside the fencing. From some areas you could see the stage, from other areas you could see the big screens of which there were plenty as it was the same ones that they use for the horse racing. Darren seemed to enjoy hearing the live music and Rick was on good form. We left well before the end of the concert, if we’d been staying another night at caravan Darren may have stayed until the end, as it is we got home just before 11oclock.
Today as been quite lazy, but we did go out for a 5 mile walk this afternoon, which I enjoyed, so much cooler too.
Darren as recently been watching “Goodnight sweetheart” from the start, it was a comedy he always enjoyed and the bbc never seem to repeat it. Anyway he found it on Acorn tv, which is one of the channels you can subscribe to on Amazon prime and a few weeks ago they were doing an offer of 3 months for 99 pence a month, that would be more than enough time to watch all the series. Imagine his disappointment at having watched the first 2 series he then realises that they are the only episodes Acorn tv as, he was really enjoying it too, plus he finds old tv takes his mind of current day worries so was finding it quite relaxing too, never mind, he will have to catch up with Gary sparrow and Phoebe some other time.
