This is an aphid. A true bug from the Order Hemiptera, which can be identified from the sucking and piercing mouthpart heading for...my skin.

Yes, Dear Reader, those are the hairs on my arm. I felt it as it battled to get out of the tangled jungle, I reached for the camera with one hand and took this photo.

I wonder if it can distinguish between a juicy, green plant and my skinny, bony arm.
