Park Run Returns

This morning, the summer weather reverted to type (grey, cool wind, a few flecks of rain) which was no doubt a relief for the Park Runners who have finally been allowed to run again after 16 long, sad months. This is the Northampton Racecourse group; hundreds of others across England ran once more today.

The pleasure and joy in the air was palpable; people greeting old running mates and excited to be back again, community spirits strong. It's this kind of event that does as much for mental health as it does for physical fitness.
