Night at the Zoo

After work, we both headed into London to join one of the special evening openings of ZSL London Zoo. As well as being able to enjoy the zoo with fewer people (and adults only) there were music, bars and delicious street food to enjoy. We sat and had dinner watching the penguins who seemed excited and baffled that the humans were still around into the evening. They all crowded around the front to peer at us and play. 

We loved watching the anteater in the rainforest walk having some alone time with a log full of ants. Other highlights included seeing a sloth and baby sloth really close up, being entertained by a conspiracy of lemurs, the lions getting on their evening roar and a relaxed young tiger surveying the world. A couple of extras added.

Lots of high ISO required so don't look too close!
