Our Other Happy Place
Sunny and mild all day, highs in the low 80s F with a nice breeze off the Potomac River. Hubby was up before 5:00 am so he could get a shower. We have a bath in the camper but we do not have a sewer hook up at this site. The bath house is two minutes away so we are taking the easy route. As you can see, we had a successful shopping trip. Unfortunately, there was road construction on the way back and we lost an hour of our day sitting in traffic, bummer. Hubby made pancakes and sausage for a late breakfast while I cut up a sweet, farm fresh cantaloupe for our fruit. He put up the hammock and we both enjoyed it. This is the largest campsite we have ever had. If we are able to return, we will definitely want a site in this circle, convenient to everything. While we were out, we grabbed Popeye’s chicken for dinner. I have veggies to cook while it is reheating. Easy meal. They have changed the venue for Mancil’s games, again. We will have to leave here by 6:30 in the morning to get there in time for his first game. We get a break Sunday and can leave here at 7:45 am. Whew! My SIL is leaving home in the wee hours of the morning. Hope they do not run into any traffic glitches. We have scoped out several Mass locations for tomorrow/Sunday depending on how the day goes. Thanks for dropping by.
