Shop Local

A good message, and I know that the businesses on the island that have had a tough go because of covid appreciate local customers. Plenty of tourists around now, so business should pick up. 
Three trips to town for me this week, highly unusual! I took the recycling and did the weekly shop this morning. G is helping Bill with the two doors that have to be replaced. When I came home, I made them a light lunch of  bagels, threw in almond biscotti and went up to see if they needed any expert advice from me. Nope. So I came home and spent time in the garden, collecting nasturtium seeds to dry for next year, deadheading flowers, and picking greens for salad. The nasturtiums in the basket are abundant and so beautiful, so lots more seeds to collect. 
I made borscht this morning before going to town, and it's always great to have something ready to reheat after a busy day.
