Gooseberry Fool for a Fool

Our family who were camping have gone home today. It's been really nice to see everyone. Today I picked some of our gooseberries and went on a walk in search of some elderflower that hadn't gone over yet so I could make a gooseberry fool. It was few and far between until I came to a spot in the woods which is quite dark from the tree canopy overhead so there were a few that were still in flower. I'd never made a gooseberry fool before and unfortunately there was too much liquid in my gooseberry purée but I didn't realise until after I added the mixture to the cream so it didn't really work. Tasted ok though. Next time.
