Out a bit earlier today so we tried one of the small car parks on the west side of Thirlmere where the lakeshore footpath starts.  Across the road is the barn in the blip. The light seemed especially good this morning and I think the longer grass in the foreground enhances the scene. 

Another disturbed night and not just because of the heat. After yesterday’s interruption to the electricity supply at 1 am when I was in the bathroom, at 11 pm last night I discovered there was no water coming out of the taps. Checked the United Utilities website and the problem had been reported half an hour earlier. It was back on in a few hours.
