An Engagement

There's a double meaning in that...

Well, my friends are engaged to be married and I have a social engagement to attend in their wedding. I probably didn't need to explain that. Ho hum.

What I can't fathom is why, when they were both posted in Peebles on Friday, a friend in Leeds got their invitation on Saturday and mine took until Tuesday to reach Edinburgh? Go figure.
