Grandparents

A really sad situation in Malawi is the plight of very poor grandparents looking after grandchildren as a result of their children having died from AIDS. Casca writes:

Naturally there are no Social Services and her neighbours are probably as poor as she is. Now can you realise what real poverty is.

Take a look at the roof and imagine that this is the rainy season. It may be a village with old and young. The workers all dead from AIDS. I never mention these things but they are always there. We just do what we can and get on with it.
