There has been some shocking news on the eve of the Alternative Olympic Games (AOG) opening ceremony. Two of the elite athletes have defected whilst at their training camp in North Yorkshire. They were both due to fly to the AOG earlier today but failed to arrive at the airport.

It transpires Humphrey the flag bearer of the Bactrian Camel Team and Chris of the Rhea Rebels have taken refuge in a farm shop just off the A66.  Seeing the views from the shop window it is understandable. Neither were willing to make an official statement although Humphrey just gazed across the landscape and muttered "That’ll do..."
