17 years ago today …….

I met my future husband in front of the Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank and we’ve been together ever since. So much has happened in that 17 years, and we could never have imagined on that night that we’d be here living in Auckland 17 years later (even though I’m a Kiwi).  But, here we are, happily married for 14 years and thankful that we’re living in a relatively safe place from a Covid-19 point of view.
We always celebrate the day we met, as it’s such an important date, so last night we went into central Auckland and had dinner at a restaurant called East, which provides a new, fresh take on modern-Asian dining.  It was delicious and different and we had a lovely evening, made even more special by a complimentary dessert complete with candle and flower.  Such a nice touch.
