Cherry Pigeon
While I was eating my breakfast by an open door I heard a pigeon clattering in an ornamental cherry tree. The tree used to produce some fruit but now it's dying.
I didn't take any notice at first as pigeons aren't the most exciting birds but eventually got the camera out. I watched as the bird dangled at the extremities. It was breaking off dead twigs and flying off with them, presumably for nest-building. Quite late in the season for that.
I got shots of the painted lady this morning with my long lens but hope to capture it with my macro. Plenty of dragons by the lake and I enjoyed getting some dreamy images.
