The Day Tripper

Today's Blip is of a Black Headed Gull on a day trip from Liverpool, visiting friends in Lancashire.



Billy: "Er, mind if I try out a bit of me orchestral conducting on you, mate?"

Donald: "Nah, you go ahead, mate. You missin' a stick or what...?"

Billy: "Yeah, right, when that woman over there chucked all that bread at us before, well, one of your mates flew right at me, er, not on purpose, like, well, I don't think it was, least I hope it weren't, know what I mean? Anyways, knocked it clean out me hands, he did and now it's just gone.
Disappeared, like.
Am gutted.
Honest..."

Donald: "Nah, no way. You want me go get you a twig or summat instead, like...?
There's some good 'uns over there, mate...?"

Billy: "Aw, brill, mate. I'm made up, ta!"

Donald: "Here, never mind that, quick, you got an audience, like."

Billy: "What, you mean him there, watching?"

Donald: "Yeah, him! He's wi' that BBC Philharmonic, you know. He flies in most mornings from Salford for a swim. Knows his stuff him!"

Billy: "Really? Nice one, mate!"
