Block after Block of Granite ....

Backblip 2

.... no footpath to get to the top of Cima di Cardan then along a rocky ridge to Piz Ursera at 3031m (extra) where we met an Italian guide and his wife who kindly took our photo together. It is not surprising there are so few people off the paths through the cols in this area. The lack of people also meant that we could skinny dip in Lago da Roan on the way down to ease our aching joints! This is likely to be the longest route we do on this trip with 7 hours of walking, 22km and 1200m of ascent.
