Knotwork a la Tivoli

I love blippers - it's official. A surprise parcel arrived for me yesterday from Tivoli containing the most beautiful example of her stitchery - a wonderful design and in the colours I love. Here's another example of her work. I am in awe for I am useless as sewing and now way could I have designed such an intricate knotwork pattern. You can even biggify it and it looks amazing. I love it!  Also was a DVD of ET for sometime I had mentioned I had never seen it. She remembered and last night, sans internet, we hunkered down to see this classic. Astonishingly it's nearly 40 years old now but, forget the story, it's a wonderful anthropological look at 1980s America! Thank you Tivoli :)

Yes no internet so my blip from yesterday only went up this morning - do take a look if you have a moment for it is accompanied by a truly wonderful story : Homage to Mick Murphy

The heat continues, the giddy heights of 29c today. A bit o business in Bantry (how can people eat a full Irish in this weather?? All this al fresco dining you can see exactly who's eating what) but that was an excuse to buy tons of delicious strawberries, they've been excellent this year. Two swims - quite choppy and breezy but exhilarating.

Himself sighed: I wish I had a sarong. His wish was granted - of course I happened to have one lurking. He is now channelling his inner David Beckham and very cool he looks.

And Ireland's just had its first tropical night - when temperature's don't go below 20C apparently!
