Food for thought

Yesterday was semi-freedom day, but living in the midst of a building site brings its ongoing weirdness too. My home office has become dual purpose, with books in the upper half and a temporary kitchen in the lower half. My antique roll-top desk has had to make way for the fridge, freezer, a counter-top oven and all the other kitchen paraphernalia. Meanwhile, all the noisy building work is happening just the other side of the wall!
