Spring is fighting back

We were warned about yellow snow alerts, especially for Staffordshire, this morning. It's now half past two and the sun is glorious. I know we may still receive a blizzard or two, and it is cold, but this is such a bonus.

And the bargain hanging basket I got at the garden centre yesterday looks pretty good against the blue sky

I've just made some marmalade biscuits from the old recipe that my mother used to use when we were children. (It was from one of the Jimmy Young Cookbooks if any of you came across those. Along with the Bero book, it was a great standby) They are wonderful - but am I just being nostalgic ?
