Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Here begins my practice for the upcoming photomarathons. At least several times a week, I will give myself (or accept from anyone wishes to offer one) a specific challenge and take no more than one hour to respond to it, photographically. Because that's on average what you've got per subject in a photomarathon.

Today, my challenge was that given by the Saturday Guardian: spotted. I could have photographed the spots of chewing gum which adorn our pavements, but they don't make for a very interesting shot. I prefer this shop window display.
