Courgette Flowers
First and foremost, thank you so much for the wonderful response to my ‘Sunset Stinger’ yesterday - it really is appreciated.
Another late blip - this time after an uncharacteristically busy day of socialising. Today there have been no long walks along the beach. Instead, we enjoy a long and leisurely lunch outdoors with new friends, followed by another social meeting in our garden, then finally an impromptu visit from neighbours. This is all delightful of course, but I am so unused to this much conversation that I feel even more tired than usual! So strange that we have to relearn the art of being with others.
Fortunately, I’ve already taken my shots for today, delving into the green depths of our courgette patch to capture the very large flowers currently blooming. Huge yellow triffids, ominously glowing in the filtered sunlight - they could almost be related to the glowing jelly of last night.
I should really remove some of these to stuff and fry as I did last year, but today I certainly don’t have the energy. It’s another task to put off until another day …..
Thanks to Bobsblips for hosting today’s ‘large’ Wide Wednesday challenge.
