Best part of the day

Another scorcher.

There was a lot of (mostly minor) bad in the day.
Unbelievably expensive parts from Ford - my mechanic was so shocked he showed me the invoice lol. Fortunately his hourly rate is 1/4 of Ford's, so it evened out.
Vandalism at my fav swim spot. It's easy for folks in the Lakes to blame others, but scratched into the rocks was a 'gang' name from Tebay. Fortunately I did a workshop decades ago and got most of it off with moss, soil and water.
Horseflies. Why. Just why.

& some terribly sad distant family news, it always seems more awful when it's someone young.

Made progress with my research project... And... Cut some more tree down. The end is in sight now.
