Castle Howard

Here's Castle Howard from the ground - and what a fabulous place it is! I was blown away by the quality and expanse of the grounds - but the best bit was the garden area which was absolutely breathtaking!

My favourite section was the area with lilies and heather and other fragrant flowers - that's my extra photo.

The only downside was being out in the searing 30 degree heat.
