At Somes Pond

Spent the middle part of a steamy day along the shore of Somes Pond. 

Only a few moments broke the stillness:

- the sudden flight of an eagle from a branch overhead;
- the quiet paddling of someone fishing;
- a loon calling;
- me having a sudden spasm and freaking out in a loud, high voice when some sort of huge bee landed on my shirt.

Mindfulness sure is hard sometimes.
