Schwarzwälder Haus

After a day’s work on the computer I finished a bit earlier to go for a walk in the local forest. After a 20 mins drive I was in the high Black Forest and the farmers were all busy getting the hay in. The air was filled with the sweet smell of home!
I walked to the Nonnenmattweiler, a small crystal clear lake in the forest. It has a floating bog on it which is protected, but one side of the lake is used for swimming. This lake freezes over in the winter and I don’t think it is quite warm enough for me yet!
So good to walk through nature, flowery meadows and seeing the lake,.like a picture post card!
On the way back I took some photos of a typical Black Forest house. They are beautiful, but if you live in one of them they own you!
