World cup

The tournament started at 2 pm so we had time to see castle Nympehnburg in the morning. The place was pretty impressive - took loads of pictures too.

Tournament:

First game, Finland vs Germany North (Germany had two teams - one from north and one from south). First we got 1-0 lead but right after that one of our players got injured. This left us with only 1 substitute and (not enough in 5 a side soccer) and we got tired quickly. We lost the game 7-1.

In the second game we didnt stand a chance as the defending champions, Hungary, were very good players who obliously had played actively many years. Very uneven match ended 13-1.

Finally we played for the fifth place against Germany south. At first the Germans got 4-1 lead. About 15 minutes into the 30 minute game we rallied and made it 4-3. Soon after that the Germans scored again for 5-3 and with some 10 minutes left things were not looking bright. However we managed to level the game 5-5 and in the very last minute got the 5-6 goal and won the game! Winning this very exciting game felt like winning a championship and we celebrated with sparkling wine! All were in a festive mood for the whole day after that and we celebrated until very late.

Maybe we should start practicing for next years tournament in Prague...
