Another hot and sunny day, high of 26C in EK.  Other parts of the country are suffering higher temperatures and warnings of more extreme conditions.

My friend has broken her femur, and because the break is near her replacement hip, they cannot operate so will use physio to try to get her mobile again.  It will be difficult and I feel anxious about it.  

The HG was visiting a friend this afternoon; he is recovering from cancer treatment and was very happy to see the HG.  Meanwhile I had a great chat for a couple of hours on the deck with a friend. We had an ice cream and some fruit juice, which was all she wanted in the heat.

And we were invited down to Cali's for a BBQ.  The girls do a great BBQ and we had the best burgers I have had for a while, and some lovely pork and prawn lollipops with satay sauce, all home made of course.  All served with potato salad with their own potatoes, green salad with their own home grown lettice, water melon dish with their own mint..... it was all delicious.  And lovely to sit on their patio in the evening sunshine.
