Bridge to .......?

This is a foot bridge over the motorway in Auckland. It gives access from St Mary's Bay to Westhaven. It is quite a cool bridge and must have cost a bomb to build. It seemed to take a 10o years to build and a 1000 years to open. I think the architect was clearly ahead of his/her time given the date when Auckland City Council must have commissioned them to do it but at least they had Da Vinci in their class at design school to share sketches.
