Tree surgery
We heard a huge racket in our street when we returned from our walk to Hunter's bog in Holyrood Park this morning. A wood chipper was the source of the noise. One workman was feeding it the branches brought down by the other, blipped here up a tree (that probably is no more now).
I was in and out of meetings the rest of the day, most of them focused on research assessment work. I also enjoyed an online catch-up with Rachel and David B.
Tomorrow is meant to be the first day of my summer break. It is not to be. I simply have far too much work to do. At least with time off marked in my calendar, I will be largely left in peace to get on with it.
Exercise today: walking (14,097 steps).
