TEASELS
The scaffolders turned up (unannounced) just before lunchtime. We've been waiting weeks since the roofer told us that available scaffolders are as rare as hens' teeth at the moment. Once the scaffolding was up we phoned the roofer who said he'd come tomorrow so I set off to the Marina and had just taken this shot when B phoned to say the roofer had arrived! I whizzed back via the post office where I had to convince Nick the postmaster that there wasn't a conman outside waiting to fleece me of the large-ish amount of cash I was taking out and got back to find that the roofer had just come to do a recce and will be back tomorrow. At first he said that he'd wait until the young gull up there has taken flight - which it may well do tomorrow anyway - as the gulls are a bit assertive at the moment, but then he remembered that there are storms forecast for the weekend and said he'd try and get it done tomorrow. It may be tomorrow's blip.
