I had a little stroll this morning (2.2 miles) and started off walking through the woods and so I just had to stop and check on the Dryad’s Saddle fungus - it looks amazing, and today it was glowing a bit with the dappled sun shining on it. This 'plate' is about 30cm across...


Virtual walk update…

My little ‘wander’ today propelled me past the 600 mile mark on my virtual 1000 mile walk and I am now ‘near’ Hexham - just to the west of Newcastle upon Tyne…

I passed the 500 mile mark at the beginning of May  so the last 100 miles has been somewhat slow due to a combination of a foot injury, terrible weather and now illness! I ‘only’ need to average 2.4 miles a day to complete the challenge by the end of the year!
