Tin Ti n

One of my granddaughters gave me this as a birthday present. The story behind this is that when we came to Australia 60 years ago from Poland I could not speak a word of English. Some of my friends reckon I still cant. I found the Tin Tin books beautifuly illustrated and the words briliantly explained each scene. My grandaughter Claudia wanted to know how I learnd and I explined  to her that those books and Phantom comics had a great impact on me. To this day I am still a voracious reader and send each of my 7 grandchildren at least a book a month.
