I distinctly remember homes that smelled strongly of food when I was young. I didn't like entering them. Initially I found it surprising how quickly the nose could adjust to the smell and it would seem to disappear. Living in a large apartment building, food smells are unavoidable. They make it into all the passages, elevators, stairwells. In small dozes though, they can be endearing.

Speaking of food, I had this small pack of breadsticks and Nutella. it was yummy and everything about it was right out of childhood.
