A Day in Dublin
My city, where I haven’t been since March 2020.
I have worked up extra hours so could take a full day off to wander into DublinTown and meet a friend who lives in Portobello.
We took a picnic into the Iveagh Gardens and sat by the waterfall as we munched our sandwiches and chatted.
The Museum of Literature and Secret Garden were closed ‘cos it’s Monday grrrrr we forgot all museums in Dublin are closed on Mondays … silly Jean how could you have forgotten that and you used to be a tour guide back in the day.

But it was so lovely to be in the middle of that maddeningly annoying city. (Clearly I am a big fan - don’t let the bluster fool you)
Please see extra for the house where GBS was born (and a good profile on wiki … he was the original anti-vaxxer really)

And second extra for the beautiful poetry of Martin O’Direan from the Aran Islands (when I have time I will tell you about when I worked for Aer Arann and flew many times onto those islands by the seat of our pants)
If you are inclined, please listen to Zoe Conway and Julie Fowlis singing that song
