Homeward Bound

Travelling Northwards towards Manchester from Kent and thankfully still have the blue sky and big white fluffy clouds with me. It’s a five hour journey in total, three trains involved ... so far so good.

Today is the so - called Freedom Day on which Covid restrictions are lifted. Happy to see so many people are still wearing masks, and the train companies are encouraging it, especially on busy services.

Update: A person has been hit by a train between Leicester and Bedford. As all lines are currently closed, trains may be cancelled or diverted. More information can be found in Latest Travel News.

Terribly sad news.

Fortunately my train is able to take an alternative route across the 80 span brick built Welwyn Bridge so we are continuing our journey on a slower but more picturesque route.

Delay due to journey terminating 2 stops before my destination so have to change trains.
