Foxy fern.

Camped up at Fox River (aka sandfly hell as per Yola). 4 hour round trip hike up to the Fox River caves, wading through rivers and scrambling up jungle paths through rain forest to an incredible cave. More of the amazing Yola leading the way in the dark damp, gooey caves....lots of head torches, adventuring and oohing and ahhing at white stalactites and stalagmites, rock pools and banging of heads (me)... The wound is clotted over nicely now and the swelling is settling!!!!
These little ferns are trying hard to carry on regardless of the drought, but many plants are looking very thirsty.....as are the blood sucking sand flies who just love us all. The more you scratch the longer it takes to heal......but ooohh the instant gratification.
