Swimming

We managed to schedule a swim date for Lou- I didn't go to the first one as I was at school.

I didn't plan to be out so early, but we swam just after 11am, and I did get a little lie-in. Apparently last time Lou was less confident- they were already in the pool as I was a bit late, and she happily moved between the three of us. Hopefully she saw that it was a relaxing, fun thing to do, and as the pool was all the same depth, and we had it to ourselves, it just felt very calm. We showed her how to push the water away with her arms, and how to kick her feet. She had a great time, and hopefully it's building her confidence one step at a time. She liked it when I held her and we kind of bounced from one end of the pool and back, making the water move.

Little Ro tried some tricks- see extra! I loved swimming when I was younger- and our summers were spent jumping in and diving in the pool. I used to stand on the curved handles of the metal steps and back somersault in.... how I didn't kill myself I don't know.

It felt a little like being on vacation- it was very warm today. After we went back to Ro's for a cup of tea, and to see Little B, who's with her this week.

A thumbs up from Lou for her 'auntie date'... ;-)
