Oak leaved hydrangea

These hydrangeas have had a hard life.  We planted them two years ago and in their first Winter the Muntjac deer stripped off every leaf.  They did grow a few new leaves but didn't flower last Summer.  Last Winter I protected them from the deer with a wire fence, but during that week when the temperature never came above -5ºC they lost every leaf again.  But amazingly they have grown back and this Summer are flowering :-)
