Purple Emperor

Saw it sitting on the window of the utility room .. you usually find them in deciduous forests high in the trees , and come down to warm up ... The butterfly gets its name from the purple-blue glow that appears on the wings of the males when the sun shines on them from the right angle... they are fond of minerals, which are in sweat and there is a good chance that they will end up on your hands or arms...
