Bettys

The intention had been to go to Harrogate and have a walk round the shops and eat in Bettys, but it was so hot we thought we’d see what the queue at Harlow Carr was like first, it didn’t seem too bad so B, C and Lizzie went into the gardens (fortunately there was a space without booking) while I queued for the cafe.  Didn’t have to wait too long and they gave out umbrellas to use as parasols plus drinks of water while waiting.  As soon as I got in I ordered Lizzie’s food to arrive first so while we ordered she was occupied with her sandwich!  It was very warm in there and when we finished and came out we decided the best plan was to come straight home to the paddling pool!
