Seriously tropical

I know it’s going to get hot today so I went for a walk quite early. It was already 20 degrees when I arrived at Barton Marina. Quite a few dog walkers were out, making the most of a bearable temperature. By the time I drove home it was over 23 degrees.

The light was stunning.

The first lake was running short of water (apparently the pump that supplies it isn’t working). Apart from a couple of coots and a moorhen, they’d all moved to the lake near the new apartments.

There’s a country market setting up there and a guy with superb plants was already happy to sell. I confess to buying a baby hydrangea. They remind me of the Azores, where they form the hedges around their happy cows.  I hope this one doesn’t die.

Enjoy the lovely day, my blipfiends.
